NOTE: JOB IS LOCATED IN WESTERN, MA. GENEROUS RELOCATION IS PROVIDED .

Premier printing and marketing company in western MA is searching  to hire an experienced Purchasing Agent.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies for the company, nationwide; assess, manage and mitigate risks.
• Search for cost-effective purchases and develop new supply base relationships.
• Purchase paper, inks and supplies needed for print production with the focus on commercial print paper buying.
• Work within the print schedule to ensure products are available to meet production deadlines.
• Research material sourcing opportunities and analyze alternate purchasing options for existing materials or substitute items
• Work with vendors on pricing and lead times.
• Update and maintain spreadsheets and tracking information.
• Inventory management.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 3-5 years of commercial print paper buying experience.
• Good overall knowledge and understanding of a variety of paper grades, weights and finishes.
• Commercial print estimating experience a plus.
• Proven negotiation skills and successful track record of achieving cost out initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
• Proficient on MS Excel is required.
• Able to think outside the box if substitutions are necessary.

Starting salary between $72,000 - $85,000 plus benefits, 401k and relocation package.
