Department : Central FacilityServices Salary : Commensurate withExperience/Education Description Repairs and installs all types of door hardware: locks, doorclosers, automatic operators, pivots and panic hardware. Pursuantto the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this positionresearches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure andrequires the ability to maintain the security or integrity of theUniversity infrastructure. This position requires personnel beroutinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history orcontinuous connections for the government or political apparatus ofa foreign adversary might prevent the employee from being able tomaintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure. Maintains, repairs, and installs automatics door openers,locks, closers, alarms, etc. Cuts keys and sets lock cores; recombinants locks. Operates all necessary equipment and tools such as keycutting machine, engraving machine, power tools and computer. Assists other shops in obtaining access to areas on campus asneeded. May serve on special task force during periods of emergency,such as floods, storm, hurricanes, etc. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Department is willing to accept education in lieu ofexperience. High School Diploma or GED Required MQ: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuationand simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. asmight normally be acquired through attainment of a high schooldiploma or GED. Education verification will be conducted uponacceptance of an employment offer. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-relatedexperience. Requires a valid Texas Driver's License.
